Certification: FSSC 22000
In October 2005, Fukui Co., Ltd. obtained ISO 9001 certification, establishing and standardizing systems for hygiene management, production control, and risk response, while continuously striving for improvement.
Furthermore, in October 2020, we acquired FSSC 22000 certification, strengthening our management framework even further.

Insepection Standards
As part of our in-house inspection system, we conduct microbiological tests (including total viable counts, coliform bacteria, and Staphylococcus aureus), sensory evaluations, and moisture content testing.
Because products such as nori, aonori, kelp, and dried shrimp have low moisture levels, they are less prone to spoilage and can be stored for long periods when kept properly in cool, dry, or refrigerated conditions.
Furthermore, issues related to an increase in bacterial counts during manufacturing and processing are minimal.

Halal Certification
Certified to meet Islamic dietary laws, ensuring safe, trustworthy products for Muslim consumers and beyond.
What is Halal?
Halal is an Arabic term meaning “permissible” or “lawful” under Islamic teachings.
In the context of food, it refers to products that meet strict standards regarding ingredients, production methods, and hygiene management.
The global Muslim population is estimated at around 2 billion and continues to grow, making the halal market increasingly important.
At Fukui Co., Ltd., we are committed not only to providing products that Muslims can enjoy with peace of mind, but also to delivering safe and reliable quality to all of our customers.

At Fukui Co., Ltd., we have always been committed to creating safe, reliable, and high-quality food products.
By obtaining vegan certification, we aim to further provide options that reflect diverse lifestyles and values.
Going forward, we will continue to focus on delivering products that customers in Japan and around the world can choose with confidence, while striving for ongoing quality improvement and the fulfillment of our social responsibility.

Integrated Production & Traceability
From procurement to sales, we ensure consistent quality. Both machines and human inspection are used for foreign matter removal.

Foreign Matter Removal
At Fukui Co., Ltd., we place the highest priority on removing foreign matter, combining advanced machinery with thorough visual inspections by our staff.
Machines ensure accurate detection based on set standards, while human oversight provides flexible judgment in cases that require nuance. By leveraging these strengths, we work to minimize the risk of contamination.
We also continue to improve efficiency and safety by introducing and upgrading new technologies and equipment. Looking ahead, we are advancing the adoption of AI-based image recognition and data analysis for foreign matter detection, aiming to establish an even more advanced and reliable quality control system.
